We are excited to present an amazing line-up of the top environmental films of the year. Our goal is to create a highly recognized annual event in South Florida that will educate, motivate, and inspire attendees through films dealing with contemporary environmental issues. Join us for this historic moment.
Opened in 1935, the Colony Theater is an iconic multimedia performance venue nestled along Lincoln Road, in the heart of Miami Beach. The Miami Beach Cinematheque is Miami’s premier HD art house cinema. Newly reopened in Miami Beach’s historic City Hall on Washington Avenue, it features a number of sustainable design measures.
Miami-Dade and Broward County high school students are invited to create their own innovative 1-2 minute videos about local South Florida conservation, recycling, sustainability and local wildlife. The video submission deadline is October 7th, 2011. Submit your video by clicking here.
Special multi-media performance by CLIMAX at opening night event.
The program covers a range of issues from electric cars to population impacts, light pollution, community activism, planned obsolescence and the social impacts of technology on children.
